Accessibility
Last updated: 21 October 2026
Our commitment
We want ikr.family to be usable by people with a range of abilities, devices and assistive technologies. Accessibility is part of how we approach the website’s design, development and maintenance.
This statement covers the public website. Accessibility information for a separate application or service may be provided with that service.
Standards and approach
Our accessibility target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA, taking account of applicable Israeli accessibility requirements, including the relevant provisions of Israeli Standard 5568.
Our accessibility work focuses on clear structure and language, keyboard operation, visible focus, readable contrast and text, understandable forms, alternatives for meaningful visual content, and control over animation and media.
An accessibility target is not the same as an assessment that every page meets every criterion.
Current assessment and known limitations
Assessment: Developer assessment on 21 October 2026 of all public pages against WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Method: automated checks (Lighthouse, including axe rules) on every page, and manual keyboard, text-zoom and reduced-motion testing supported by scripted browser tests. The pages passed the automated checks. No testing with screen-reader users or other assistive-technology users has been completed yet, so we describe this as partially assessed rather than conformant.
Known limitations and alternatives: The wordmark in the header and the lockup in the footer are drawn with a dotless letter and a diamond, so their visible letters and their accessible name (“ikr, home”) differ slightly for people using voice control; the links in the navigation and footer reach the same pages. The spam check on the contact form is a third-party Cloudflare component whose accessibility we do not control; if it prevents you from sending the form, email us directly. Animations follow your system’s reduced-motion setting; there is no separate on-page switch. No remediation timetable has been set for these points.
Tested environments: Chrome, Firefox and Safari engines on macOS, and an iPhone-sized viewport in Chrome, at widths from 320px up; keyboard-only operation; text zoom to 200%; the reduced-motion setting. Not yet tested with VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS, switch access or a magnifier.
External services reached through links may have different accessibility arrangements. If a linked service prevents you from completing an interaction with us, let us know so we can consider an alternative route.
Request help or report a barrier
If something is difficult to use, contact us. You can request assistance or an alternative format without providing a medical diagnosis.

Where possible, include the page address, what you were trying to do, what prevented you from doing it, and how you would prefer us to contact you. Browser or assistive-technology details can help but are not a condition for asking for assistance.
We will review the request and explain what assistance or next steps we can offer. If your preferred contact method is itself inaccessible, use the alternative contact above.
You may also raise a concern with the relevant authority, including Israel’s Commission for Equal Rights of Persons with Disabilities where applicable. You do not need to exhaust our feedback process before using rights available under law.
